Trailers for rent in Kanata

Everything we rent is on this page. Pick the one that suits the job, tell us your dates, and we'll check the calendar and price it, usually the same day.

What you need to tow one

Everything we rent takes the same hitch at the moment.

  • A 2-5/16 in ball.
  • A 7-way plug.
  • A brake controller in the tow vehicle, because it has electric brakes on all four wheels.
  • A tow vehicle rated for the trailer and what's going on it.
  • A driver who is licensed and insured.

Not sure? Say what you're towing with on the request form, or call and we'll tell you straight. It takes a minute and it saves a wasted trip.

How it works

It isn't an instant booking, and that is on purpose. Every rental is checked against the calendar and priced by a person before anything is promised.

  1. You ask. Pick your dates and answer a couple of questions about the tow. Nothing is held and nothing is charged.
  2. We price it. We check the trailer is actually free and send it back with a price, usually the same day.
  3. You accept, then do three things on your own booking page: driver's licence, insurance, rental agreement.
  4. We confirm it. Payment is normally by Interac e-Transfer. Card is possible; first-time renters may be asked for a temporary hold.
  5. You pick it up. The lockbox code appears on your booking page shortly before pickup, and the keys are in the box.

Picking one up

Most pickups are contactless. The keys are in a lockbox and the code is on your booking page, so you can collect early in the morning or late in the evening without waiting on anybody. If you are coming at a time that suits us both, one of us will come out and walk around the trailer with you. Ask when you book and we will tell you which it will be.

Rentals are picked up in Kanata, ON. We send the exact address once your booking is confirmed.

What it costs if something goes wrong

Late returns, cleaning, damage and cancellations all have a set price. Every one of them is written into Schedule C at the bottom of the rental agreement, which you read and sign before you collect the trailer, so nothing gets invented at the counter.
