Nepean
Mobile mechanic in Nepean
Nepean is the hardest name on our list to quote from, because it isn't one place. It stretches from Bells Corners out to Britannia and down to Carleton Heights, and the drive to each of those is different enough that the fee is too.
What the trip costs
$15 to $30 + tax, depending which end
Six postal codes carry a Nepean address, and they land in three different bands. This is the one town where telling us you're in Nepean genuinely doesn't narrow it down, so give us the first three characters instead.
| Postal code | Covers | Travel fee |
|---|---|---|
K2H |
Bells Corners, Crystal Beach, Trend-Arlington, Qualicum-Graham Park, Leslie Park | $15 + tax |
K2R |
Fallowfield Village, Cedarhill Estates, Orchard Estates | $15 + tax |
K2E |
Nepean East | $25 + tax |
K2G |
Nepean Central | $25 + tax |
K2B |
Britannia, Bayshore, Whitehaven, Queensway Terrace North, Woodpark | $30 + tax |
K2C |
Queensway Terrace South, Parkway Park, Copeland Park, Carleton Heights | $30 + tax |
Whatever the number, it's flat, it's on the estimate before you agree, and the fuel surcharge for the drive is quoted in the same place. Nothing about travel turns up for the first time on the invoice.
Before anything gets replaced
We find out what it is before we quote it
Plenty of calls come in as a symptom instead of a part: a light on the dash, a noise over bumps, a car that cranks slower than it did last month. We read the codes and test the charging system before anything is ordered, and you get told what it is and what it costs before we touch it.
Getting to you
Where the job can happen
- Your driveway, or a marked space in your building's surface lot.
- The lot where you work, if the car is going to sit there anyway.
- Not underground parking, where there's no room to jack a car safely and no ventilation for what we do.
- Not the shoulder of the Queensway. If that's where the car is, it needs a tow before we can do anything.
Weeknights from 5pm and both weekend days from 8am. Cancelling is free with 24 hours' notice.
- Everything we do: brakes, tires, suspension, diagnostics, tune-ups, electrical, exhaust and inspections. The four we get called about most have a page each: brakes, tires, suspension and diagnostics.
- The full travel-fee table: all 60 postal codes, with a checker for yours.
- Fees, warranty and payment: the emergency call-out, customer-supplied parts, and which parts the two-year warranty covers.
- Jobs we've done: photos from driveways around the west end.
- We also rent a 20 ft equipment trailer. Picked up in Kanata, $150 a day, and the winch, straps and chocks come with it.
