Tires & TPMS

Mobile tire service

Seasonal changeovers, flat repairs, balancing and TPMS sensors, on your driveway instead of a queue at a tire shop in the first week of November.

We come to you across Kanata, Stittsville, Barrhaven, Nepean and the rest of the west end, weeknights from 5pm and all day Saturday and Sunday, so the car is fixed where it already sits.

What it covers

Tires & TPMS, in full

Seasonal changeovers on or off rims, flat repairs, balancing and TPMS sensors.

  • Seasonal changeovers, on or off rims
  • Flat repairs (plug & patch)
  • Tire balancing
  • TPMS reprogramming & replacement

Tire work splits into two jobs that get asked about in completely different ways. The seasonal changeover is planned, it is priced in advance and it has a page and a form of its own. Everything else is unplanned: a slow leak, a vibration that was not there last week, a pressure light that will not go out. What one of those takes is not known until the wheel is off. Both are done at the address the car lives at: there is a balancer and a tire machine on the truck, so a changeover off rims is not sent anywhere.

How long it takes. A changeover on rims is about forty-five minutes. Off rims, with balancing, is closer to two hours.

Why people call

What people describe when they ring about this

You do not have to know what the part is called. These are the words people actually use, and any one of them is enough to book on.

  • Winters to go on, or come off, and no interest in a four-hour wait
  • A slow leak that needs topping up every few days
  • A tire pressure light that stays on after the pressures have been set
  • A vibration at highway speed that was not there before
  • A tire that has worn on one edge and nowhere else

The one thing we will ask back. The size off the sidewall, like 225/65R17, and is it new tires, a repair, a swap onto rims, or a TPMS light? Answer that in the first message and you will usually get a price without a second round of questions.

On the truck

What turns up on your driveway

  • A balancer and a tire machine, so a changeover off rims is done at your place and not sent out
  • Plug and patch kits for a repairable puncture, done from the inside the way it should be
  • TPMS sensors and the tool to program them to the car
  • Tread depth on all four, and the pressures set to the door sticker, not to whatever the last place used.

What we will not do on a driveway. A tire that has been driven flat has usually taken the sidewall with it, and a sidewall is not repairable by anybody. We will show you what we are looking at before patching something that should be replaced.

What it costs

Priced before anybody turns a bolt

There is no price for a tire job on this page on purpose. What it comes to depends on the vehicle, the parts it takes and what is found once a wheel is off, and a figure written here would either be wrong or be something you end up arguing about in a driveway.

You get the cost of the work and the cost of the drive together, before anything is booked, and it does not change once you have said yes.

Whatever we have published is on the pricing page, and the warranty, the emergency call-out and what happens with parts you supply yourself are on the FAQ.

Getting to you

The drive is a set figure

Travel is priced by where you are rather than by the hour, and every postal code and village we cover has its own number against it. Kanata carries none at all, because that is where the truck starts and finishes its day.

A fuel surcharge is added to the estimate to cover the drive to you. You see both numbers, the work and the trip, before you agree to anything.

Look yours up on the service-area page, which carries the whole table and a checker for your own three letters.

“We've used Peakline automotive for two issues for two different vehicles (Truck and Van). They were friendly, knowledgeable and affordable. The service was super convenient being done at home. We will definitely be using them again. Would recommend 10/10”

Written up for where you are

Tires in the three towns that are most of our week

What tends to go wrong on this job around there, and where the car can be parked while we do it.

Where we go

Everywhere else we bring tires & tpms

Each town has its own page with the postal codes that apply there and what the trip costs.

The other three we get called about most: brakes, suspension, diagnostics. Everything else Peakline does is on the services page.

Ask us

Get a price for the job

Tell us what the car is and what it's doing, and we'll come back to you with a price. Texting is the quickest way to get hold of us.

Next opening: Monday. If the car has stopped you driving, say so and we'll work around it.

Weeknights from 5pm Saturdays & Sundays from 8am info@peaklineauto.ca

We rent trailers too, from the same driveway. An equipment trailer and an enclosed cargo one.

Or send it over: your number, the car and what it is doing, one question at a time. It takes a minute and we price it from that.
