We're a Kanata outfit that drives east, which is the single most useful thing to know about pricing a call-out downtown. The further in and across the city you are, the higher the band, and you'll see the number before you agree to anything.

What the trip costs

Four bands, west to east

Our fee table runs on the first three characters of your postal code, and reading down it the pattern is obvious enough: the west-end codes are cheapest for us to reach, and the east end is the longest drive.

Downtown, specifically

We need the car above ground

This is the one that catches people out in the central codes, where the parking that comes with an apartment is very often a garage under the building. We can't work down there: no height to get a car safely up on a jack, and no ventilation.

A residential street outside is fine, and so is a surface visitor space.
The lot where you work, if the car sits there through the day.
Not underground parking, however easy it looks.
Not the shoulder of the Queensway, which needs a tow before we can get near it.

There's no smaller menu for a longer drive. Brakes, tires and TPMS, suspension, diagnostics, tune-ups, batteries and electrical, exhaust, accessory installs and pre-purchase inspections all happen where the car is parked.

Timing

We're out after five and on weekends

Weeknights from 5pm and both weekend days from 8am. If it's urgent and outside those hours we'll come where we can, and that carries a $50 emergency fee, quoted before we set off so you aren't finding it on the invoice.
